How am I able to help others?
When I left my day job last year due to the pandemic, I was struck with too much boredom. I already had habituated myself to waking up very early for work. At work, I normally taught students and trained new tutors. I loved those days when people thanked me because they learned something from me. My heart was so full when new tutors expressed their admiration just because I was kind to them and that they could carry out their class demos smoothly because they did not feel intimidated by me and I was encouraging them all the way through. I do not know if I was motivated or I just love helping them in my own way. Then unexpectedly, productive days turned to inactive days.
One day, while browsing Youtube for videos about Spanish influences in the Philippines, which I will be writing in my next story by the way, as an additional resource to my son’s study-from-home system, I came up with an idea.
I imagined how challenging and troublesome it must be for Filipino students who study on their own because schools are closed. It has been 14 months now since the last time students went to school to attend face-to-face classes. Most public school teachers are incapable of conducting online classes due to a lack of experience in handling lessons online and no access to the internet as well.
